What it can read
Public channel identity on YouTube channel pages or when opening the popup on a video, plus discovery queries and filters you choose to enter. Compare Creator retains one local creator selection. Capture Timestamp sends the current video, channel and playback time to IndiTubeDb only when clicked, so the signed-in website can verify and save it in your private Saved Timestamps. Optional results inside YouTube searches are off by default and require disclosure acceptance in the popup. When enabled, relevant creator-search queries are sent to IndiTubeDb; complex queries may use its existing AI service. Structured filters do not use AI. No unrelated viewing history, account details or cookies are collected. Turning the setting off removes inline results and cancels pending work.
What stays on your device
Up to 100 channel lookups are cached locally for 15 minutes (two minutes for missing creators); records older than 24 hours are removed on next use. Discovery results stay in popup or extension-worker memory for up to 30 seconds, not persistent search history. The inline-search consent choice and disclosure version are stored locally. Turning that setting off clears its preview cache. Taxonomy refreshes after 60 seconds. Comparison selection stays locally until cleared or replaced. The website keeps a pending capture and success receipt in per-tab session storage to support sign-in, retries and reloads; capture payloads are excluded from its capture-page analytics context.
Network and measurement
Hosting logs may include requested URLs under the operator’s retention policies. Derived search plans remain in bounded server memory for up to five minutes, verified descriptive IDs for 60 seconds. Click counters contain no queries; referral UTM values never include your search text. Do not enter private or sensitive information into discovery.
